I wound up giving a quickie phone interview to a guy at The State. It made the online edition. Print shop is flooded.
A CNN producer in GA and in NY have tried to tap me for a phone interview. I passed politely. I have no desire to be a spectacle or anything. People have died and there a lot of real hero types out there doing a hell of a job. They are more important.
I found a picture of my Tacoma parked where I got pulled out. The water has receded. It’s in a good neighborhood. Doctors own a few of those houses.
Those trees I was up against saved me from the big swim. Thank and praise God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit! Still mindblowing.
The few cuts from the windshield are the only physical damage I have and they’ve healed.
We are essentially physically isolated due to washouts around. There was a way in because a super kind lady from the neighborhood found and got me in.
I have picture on the box and it’s in Twitter. That’s good enough. It will be a few days minimum before it can be towed off. It’s waterlogged scrap mostly.
Toyota builds them well. It saved my life.
Explosive capped bolts with a manual trigger ought to be at least optional equipment. A real hammer will go in all vehicles.
