The goods that are listed as being imported from Mystery Babylon in the Bible are some merchandise that does not grow in the United States anywhere and has never grown here.
So, it is a natural incense ingredient that grows in the Middle East. - The imports are listed in the book of Revelation. (I believe it is Revelation.) That tree it mentions is NOT growing in the U.S.
End of the Age with Irvin Baxter is quite good on Bible prophecy. Irvin is a humble man and not at all like many of the t.v. preachers. (He shows where the U.S. IS mentioned in prophecy.)
What tree is that?
I’m not specifically pushing this article I posted or the book this guy is hawking (haven’t read it, have no intention of reading it)... but what this article is based on is common sense Bible research. Iraq is not Mystery Babylon, America is.
... until you can take down these 60 arguments point by point, I’m not that interested.
So, what tree are you talking about?
Read the scripture again:
Rev. 18:11 And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: 12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.
Note the goods listed are sold TO Mystery Babylon, not FROM her.
Then ask yourself who is the world's largest consumer of goods?
Just one of many more characteristics the US has in common with "Mystery Babylon" recorded in both the OT, and NT.
