And it is idiocy.
Greek for “wilderness” proves nothing, and could mean anything. Could mean the US after an earthquake that destroys a quarter of the country? Meteor strike?
The rich men of the earth will not be crying over the destruction of Babylon in Iraq, but they will be crying if NYC is destroyed....
Just prove the points in the article I posted are wrong.
That is true NOW, but what was NYC 300 years ago? What will Iraq be like in a hundred years?

I FEAR you are right, and have since before I signed up to this board in 1998, hence my screen name--however...
I keep debating this in my mind and have been doing so for decades. God wants more people saved. Jesus said He does not want even ONE to perish. Yet we call out to Him to come soon, but He wills it to be longer. How long? We do not know. It might even be presumptuous to want it sooner then later.
We truly cannot say when is the day and hour. We need to focus on our own salvation, not the world's or our country.
Eat, drink and be merry, but tomorrow you may die. Then the fate of the USA or world won't matter, but yours will be set.
