Popes meet with world leaders as well as long lines of unknown and then nearly instantly forgotten people all the time.

Nice try padre, but this different. Kim falls in neither category.

The young lady showed authentic Christian witness. The pope took the time to recognize that and encourage her. Good enough for me.

I think it was just the catholic church throwing it’s pissed off member some (stale) red-meat.

Otherwise they would have announced it while “el papa” was still here in the US.

They kept hush hush while he was here and the apple of the socialist liberal eye.

Much like the illegal alien girl who met with the pope, this was staged for maximum effect, cost/benefit ratio.

I think its funny that the media gave saturation coverage to the pope’s American visit, but missed this meeting. Did the pope sneak away one night to meet her ?? How and when did they set up the secret meeting?? Why didn’t anyone say anything until the pope was gone???

Actually, they didn't announce it at all. The meeting was announced by Kim Davis' lawyer.

If I understand correctly, he met her while he was in Philly.

He was staying at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary just outside of Philadelphia. This place has a fairly large campus. I don't believe that media was with him in the seminary.

It is probable that the meeting occurred in the Seminary. If that's the case, it's very likely that she could have come there, met him, and gotten away without notice.

Why didn’t anyone say anything until the pope was gone???

The Vatican didn't release an announcement of the meeting. Kim Davis' lawyer did. He may have decided on his own to keep it quiet until after the Pope was gone. Why? Ask him.

I would be irritated if a priest publicly announced that he had met with me in private, even if I were planning to tell someone that I had. Likely, the Pope held that it was her decision whether to announce the meeting or not.

Bit surprised. After all, he made a visit to the Little Sisters of the Poor, too.

I think these are subtle messages to the Bishops to grow a backbone and to Obama to drop these two cases.

Seems like I read that he met her at the nuncio’s office in Washington D. C. — for lack of a better name.

I’m sitting here wondering why there are so many people so excited with this meeting, a meeting that was kept private by the Vatican and Francis. This meeting and Francis’ suggested approval of Kim Davis’ actions should have been shouted from the rooftops...while Francis graced us with his presence in the US.

But it wasn’t.

Are you referring to the press or the Pope?

Yeppers, it would be better that the Pope just stick with supporting liberal issues so we can better pronounce our verbal abuse.

They didn't miss it; I saw in on ABC and CBS network drive-by's.

Maybe because it has made the left's head explode?

Oh okay. I stand corrected then. I had not heard of his visit with Kim Davis until these recent reports.
