I would feel the same disgust at someone pushing false quotes into the mouths of a protestant leader and would fight against it just as strongly.
The media constantly pushes false titles and false narratives about Christian leaders.
And it’s becoming a big problem here — remember all the articles being posted that claimed the pope personally wrote a letter endorsing gay books?
We need higher standards in this place, especially with articles that affect people’s opinion on religion.
And a pastor should be far more careful about what he pushes as a trusted authority. Wonder if he mailed out the lies to his flock?
Probably all freepers have concerns about this pope’s statements that conflict with historic Christianity.
That doesn’t make it ok to make crap up and slander people cause you want to believe it.
I’m not defending lies, but neither am I attacking with lies someone who has confessed to being wrong and asked forgiveness for it.
