Here is yet more information, for those who miss the Rapture and are here after the event. This is for people, not any particular congregation of people. Please, think about it ...
Um, the Spiritual Church of Jesus Christ will not be here to be deceived. When God sends 'strong delusion' the hour of testing has set in and Reb 3 tells the faihtful church they will be kept from the hour of testing and thus the testing.
When you read the Secrets of The Feasts, you will see why the following reasoning is flawed from a Feasts of Israel as God's Times perspective: "At the Seventh Trump Jesus returns and we all will be harvested at once, good, bad, everyone, and the Millennium will begin, with us almost instantly in our spiritual bodies
The Fteast of Trumpets is the reference Paul makes in 1 Thess 4, not the seven trumpets of the wrath of God Great Tribulation. Paul gives the key with 'wherefore comfort one another with these sayings.' The Thessalonians had been misled to believe the tribulation had already beguna nd their dead believers had missed it. Paul wrote that section in the letter to reassure them. It is tied to the clarification he gave in the second letter where he referred to the gathering together unto the Lord and the departure before the lawless one can be revealed by the Restrainer being taken out of the way. The explanation of the word 'apostasia' is in this thread, so I won't go over it again here.
HAve a good day and keep His word in your mind during the day ... sort of what's referred to as 'diligently seeking Him'.
There are those who are people that will be saved in the Tribulation.....if God did not shorten the time they too would perish....... We cannot begin to even imagine the wrath of God that’s to come....it will be violent and catastrophic in every sense of those words......so the elect at that time will be those saved in the Tribulation....where the 144,000 Jews witness.
What I do question is or not those who had been presented with the Gospel ‘before the rapture’ and ‘rejected it’...will they or not have opportunity in the Tribulation to do so???.....so far I lean toward they will not have another opportunity if they rejected him before the Rapture.
Can’t watch it right now, sorry.
see my question in post “502....your thoughts?
There is no Rapture.
The concept denies the Second Coming of Christ, by injecting a prior judgment.
The Church is referred to many times in Rev 1-3. But the Church is not referred to again after three until the end of the Revelation when it returns with Jesus as His Bride. The Church, the spiritual body of Christ believers is in Heaven durign the tribulation and especially durign the last 3 1/2 years known as the Great Tribulation.
I responded to your pinging me. Elsie is my friend. He can be sarcastic in ways that escape the average reader. He can also transmit more eschatology in a short oblique post than many can manage in a long essay. For reference, the Mormon debates were heavily managed by such expert techniques. Some people got it, some don’t. ‘Sometimes ya feel like a nut, sometimes ya don’t’
How do you know exactly what affects the salvation of a person. Can you provide a specific list of exactly the things that do affect a person salvation? Be sure to cite specific sources.
The issue to which Paul referred in the Galatian letter was one of the most important aspects to get right (Judaising threatened to turn the whole salvation by faith alone into a works based off-shoot of the fallen into works religion of the Judaisers), especially since the split from Judaism was so vital at that stage in the early church.
If it is true then why did Jesus go to all of that trouble to begin with? why didn`t he just start out with the only real apostle to begin with?
However it is completely beside the point, Peter is tried and convicted with out trial just on one mans word.
I believe the innocent until proven guilty concept that America holds so dear came from God since this is said to be a nation under God.
And then to say one of Gods chosen apostles is guilty just on one mans word is so absurd that I can not fathom it.
I read the scripture many years ago and never thought much about it but the more the anti Catholics use it to put Peter down in order to put the Catholic Church down has changed that.
I also have a problem with the Catholic Doctrine but if all I can find is an accusation against Peter from some one who is himself the only witness, forget it.
You pinged me Originally to this thread.
“the Latin word raptura “seizure, rape, kidnapping,” from Latin raptus”
Hehe, I don’t think this “rapture” belief would have ever took off if they instead named it the “great kidnapping”. It’s all in the marketing!
The Rapture in no way denies the Second setting foot upont he earth. Saul met Jesus along the road to Damascus, so Jesus can interact with this planet without setting foot on it don'tchaknow. For the born from above, judgment has already been rendered at the Cross, so there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Those born from above do not go through purgatory or the Tribulation of God's wrath. We do stand before Christ's Bema Seat in Heaven, however ... IN HEAVEN.
“Yet these non ‘flesh and blood’; incorruptible bodies are going to RETURN to EARTH?
It makes little sense to me.”
Don’t you believe Christ is going to return to earth in His incorruptible body?
“The pretrib spin on the marriage of the Lamb, is but another in a long list of inferences they believe proves a pretrib rapture.”
It’s all circular logic. In order for the Scriptures to seem compatible with the idea, they must be interpreted with a pre-trib rapture belief already in mind, paying no mind to any other contradictions or inconsistencies that such an interpretation creates.
2 Timothy warns against quarreling over words. So I shall not quarrel with you about the 144,000 lest I cause another to stumble.
Keep reminding Gods people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.
I hope that saying I do not understand your conclusion is not argumentative. Revelation 14 says that the 144,000 are virgins purchased as firstfruits and offered to God. I don’t see how they could be Jews saved during the tribulation. (And my salvation does not depend on an explantion though you are free to share one.)
Rev. 14:3-4 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.
No, I’ve taken what the word of God says at face value, without dispensational tom foolery.
Those that have not watched will face persecution and death in the trib; those that have obediently watched will go the place in the desert he will prepare, as he promised the Philadelphians.
.
The Feast of Trumpets is the foretelling of the last trump at the end of the trib.
Yeshua comes to gather only his elect at the Last Trump (Yom Teruah) to the wedding feast. The rest will be gathered unto judgement 1000 years later at the GWT.
Where have you been, Boogieman, we needed you here. Your posts on this subject are always insightful.
“setting foot on earth”??
Pretty lame theological excuse for denying the Second Coming...
.
>> “ I dont see how they could be Jews” <<
.
Obviously they cannot be Jews, since they represent the entire nation of Israel, not just Judah.
Less than 1% of genetic Israel are Jews.
