AS you read about the ECFs you will find they are not unanimous as claimed by some.
They are an interesting read though.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm fine with that: I've mentioned before that I treasure a book called
" Excerpts From The Talmud " by H. Polano - part of millenia of Jewish Sacred Oral Tradition lovingly passed on and written down after the destruction of the second Temple, around 200 AD. The Rabbis didn't always agree either, but respected one another's work and sought a common solution among their different opinions and insight. A beautiful read, with oral tradition that Jesus Himself as man would have been taught as a boy, and would have discussed as did the other Jews. Paul's teacher Gamaliel is one of the Rabbis, too! I'm looking forward to reading what the Fathers have to say..
