“
God does not have a hierarchy of sins. More made-up stuff.”
I would be cautious about that presumption.

That’s a Protestant site that provides many examples. You already know the Cathloic position, and Jesus himself told Pilate:
“When Jesus was on trial before Pilate, he said: He who delivers me unto you has the greater sin “(John 19:11).
Greater implies a higher severity in the eyes of God. You are, of course, free to rely on your own wisdom in this matter. For me, I will take the word of our Lord and Savior.
“Thats a Protestant site.”
I’m not a Protestant; I don’t care what info the site provides.
Yet, all sin has the same consequence. Death.
All sin kills and all sin damns.
And all sin has the same cure. The blood of Jesus.
All sin requires forgiveness to be dealt with.
I find it ironic.
Catholics seem to think that Protestants take sin too lightly, claiming often that we think we can sin with impunity and get a free pass, and yet when we talk about the seriousness of sin, even little white lies, suddenly we’re lectured on how some sin isn’t as bad as others.
So what’s with that?
