BTW, if Russia is wrong about everything else in the world it does not mean they are wrong about this issue. It is a common tactic in debate to use diversion and smears rather than to address the actual issue. On the issues of homosexuality, religious freedom and family values, Russia’s Putin is correct. You can smear the messenger or his country and may be right or wrong on another issue. That is irrelevant to the topic.
I find it most interesting that the history of the issue is brought up — the U.S. used to criticize Russia for this very thing.
I’m just saying, since Putin is a clever demagogue and a genuinely evil man, his goal in bringing making this distinction may not be to further the cause of Christ and Christians in America. It’s probably best not to consider him and ally on this or any other issue.
