I know what you mean. Putin is a full out proud (Post-Soviet) Russian. However Putin is westernized enough to know how to read, feed and manipulate the American public. It’s alarmingly simple for anyone to analyze and figure out.

Actually I think he is sincere on this issue. He is not new mint on this one, unlike our political candidates who get “religion” only when they are running for office. Sadly, increasingly they don’t even feel the need for fake religion, let alone the real deal.
That’s just how much the world has changed.
