Should be iconoclast, Westminister Presbyterian, south across the street from the California State Capitol rotunda, has stain-glass windows with Jean Calvan.

And his followers built an Empire of Liberty. Be they the Puritans of New England, or the Presbyterian Scotch Irish out on the frontier.

How do you confuse a Calvinist on John’s birthday?
Offer them three cakes and say its up to them which one they eat.

One of Calvin’s theological points that never made sense to me was that only 244,000 souls were going to make it to heaven. Can either of you clairify or determine if there is either another meaning or if it was just ‘anti-Calvin’ propaganda?
On an ancestral sidelight: I come from a long line of Protestants, who were chased out of Switzerland by Calvinists, thus there may be some ‘disinformation’ from that event.

Why do Free Republic Calvinists hate the republican primary threads?
They love the idea of election, but can’t get past casting personal ballots.

Things were very different during the time of the Reformation ... .. People took their doctrinal position seriously enough to kill for it.. ..

They love the idea of election, but cant get past casting personal ballots.Romans 13:1Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
