I have come to a realization that one of the most salient aspects of Liberalism is not wanting to be mean to people. It goes so far as to create an absolute hatred of those people who are willing to be mean to other people.
In a society where everyone gets a prize for participating, we aren't allowed to discriminate between losers and winners, because everyone is a winner because to say someone is a loser is being mean.
We are going to "nice" ourselves to death.
I can only decide how I want to behave. I don’t have control over other to such an extent that I can decide how they behave.
If you decide that you want to boycott a business such as the one I have described, then that is a decision you will have to make.
I would certainly stop patronizing them if they started pushing the gay agenda from their business. That isn’t something I would want to participate in, but they have not done that so far being in business for just over a year now.
As far as nicing ourselves to death... if a person is mean to me, then I may well chose to be mean to them, or I may choose to treat them with kindness. It would depend on which response from me I deem more effective to the situation.
But if a person is kind to me, then I will only respond to them with kindness. These two men have never been anything other than incredibly nice to me, so it isn’t possible for me to respond to them in any other way.
