Ottawa Priest Samson now calls Cardinal Burke's statements "Violent"
Vox Cantoris ^ | June 6, 2015

In the continuing scandal brewing in the Archdiocese of Ottawa, Big Blue Wave is reporting that Father Andre Samson who has been defaming Raymond Cardinal Burke on CBC Radio Canada and Twitter has now said that the Cardinal's statements on homosexuality have been "violent."

"What he says against homosexuality, I find that violent." A violence that not only targets gays in the general population, but also is also directed against priests and bishops. Samson reckons that many of his fellow priests and bishops are gay. "He is just as violent towards gay priests and gay bishops, and I find that sad."

The above was stated in an interview with Radio Ville-Marie and has been translated fully by Big Blue Wave.

Samson has said Tweeted in the last few days calling Cardinal Burke a "clown" and a "drag queen."

The Church in Ottawa has been lead in the past by Ordinaries who have permitted much dissent by priests and laity alike specifically, Plourde and Gervais. The current Archbishop, Terrence Prendergast, S.J., has been making an effort to turn the situation. Clearly, he needs to do much more.

He can be reached at arch@archottawa.ca (corrected). The Apostolic Nuncio to Canada is Archbishop Luigi Bonazzi; he can be reached at nuntiatura@nuntiatura.ca.

There is only truth and beauty in what the Cardinal has to say.

Meanwhile, the Vatican is now aware of this matter, for whatever good that will do.

Who is Samson? Sounds like he opposes the doctrines of his own church, why is he still employed? or is he?

There are no repercussions for homosexuals, homosexual propaganda, pederasty, etc. The Laity are sheep for the slaughter, and have to put up with this abuse by blasphemers and hedonists.

John Paul II, Benedict, the most conservative that have been around in our lifetimes didn’t do squat against the homosexual faction of the church.

By his own standard that’s a violent statement.

Remind me: Who ranks higher, a priest or a cardinal archbishop?

It does not sound like Samson hangs out with Delilah.

From lowermost to highest:

Priest
Bishop
Archbishop
Cardinal (however a cardinal may not necessarily have been a bishop prior to his elevation)

As far as holiness, that’s a different matter.

Exactly. Until homosexuals are purged from the clergy, vile decadence will continue to permeate the Church.

I think it is a fairly recent development (1960s?) that all cardinals are bishops—in the past there were cardinal priests and cardinal deacons.

Cardinal Avery Dulles was created a cardinal in 2001 by Pope John Paul II. He was never a bishop.

Thats what Catholocism gets for not holding it’s leadership accountable to their faith.

I hope some fay my former brethren realize that and fix the problem.

This is the future. In the coming Brave New World, articulation of traditional Catholic teaching concerning sodomy and the homosexual condition will be classified as “violence” towards homosexuals and a serious infringement of their civil rights. State-imposed penalties of some gravity will be the consequence.

I’m afraid you’re already right. Look at the bakers and pizza makers who have been penalized by the State for not celebrating sodomy by refusing their services.

Apparently, he is still technically a priest. Not being Catholic, I don't know the correct way of saying he doesn't have a pulpit at present, but that's the situation. He's a professor in the faculty of education at one of the local universities, as well.

Samson came out last year. It looks like's decided to start a catfight with Cardinal Burke over homosexuality.

He is an associate professor. Explains a lot.

The existence of gay men in the Catholic priesthood is one that is surrounded by so many clouds of mystery. The reason for the mystery is that so few gay priests publicly acknowledge their sexual orientation. One priest who has “come out” reflected on the experience, and his insights shed some light on other priests’ reluctance to do so.

Father André Samson

Father André Samson of Ottawa, Canada, went public about his orientation on a popular Canadian talk show last year. The Ottawa Citizen recently interviewed him about his declaration, and his observations are important and poignant.

Samson sees it as an important responsibility for him to speak out: “If not me, who will?”

Most importantly, Samson said that the experience of being open has led to a strong sense of affirmation in his life. “It’s good to be me,” he stated.

Such affirmation was not present in his early life, where he said that growing up in a conservative Catholic family kept him from acknowledging his feelings. Adolescence found him bullied and beaten in school. He turned to the priesthood, he said, as a way to explain why he didn’t marry and to “regain a sense of dignity.
