This picture is very poignant to me. This is how my Dad attended Mass when he was in the Pacific during WWII.

his picture is very poignant to me. This is how my Dad attended Mass when he was in the Pacific during WWII. It is a beautiful photo that demonstrates the lengths to which our Church will go to provide the Sacraments to those serving in the amphitheater of war. I don't think it compares with a backyard mass on a picnic table next to a barbeque.

My Dad was there too!
And, since he was a navy photographer, i grew up with a box of pictures just like that.
