Most of Greece would not march forth to meet the invaders (just as the GOPe is actually in bed with them). But Leonidas takes his personal guard and makes a stand, with what few would rally 'round him.
When he is betrayed to the enemy (it's getting crowded under that bus) and his position becomes untenable, most of his Greek allies desert the field, leaving only the Spartans to stand and fall.
Sound familiar? The question is, will the rest of Greece rally and remember the 300...
