Nothing like squashing a kid's aspirations. Depriving him off his idealism... Changing the world for the better used to be what we were supposed to do when we grew up.
Mother Theresa saw the world as it was, and by whichever person God chose to put in her life, made it better- without compromising her principles in the process.
Jesus warmed about scandalizing the young ones: in our world, and perhaps at any time in the world's history, taking away a child's hope for a better future for himself and his children; telling him to be satisfied with the status quo, and not to rock the boat; telling him to accept what is morally wrong, because, well, that's the way it is- that's scandalizing. Just as bad: it's depriving the world of these boys' chance and ability to make it a better one.
Maybe this guy should just retire with his gigantic pension, and enjoy the world as he helped make it.

the bsa used to be a great organization; however, nobody ever stated or defined what morally straight was. Whose morals were they defining? God’s, the democrap party’s??
What the Boy Scouts really need is to improve their image, and to demonstrate their patriotism for a new generation. Basically, they need a timely rebranding. To that end I propose that they should adopt a name change, and from this point on should call themselves the Obama Youth.

Just to be clear - the position of the National President of the BSA is a volunteer position. So are the officers (~27) of the National BSA Executive Committee. They pay their own freight to meetings and are expected to secure major donations to the BSA National Office in Irving, TX. In return, they, the corporate leaders of the Fortune 500, get to call the tune that the BSA professionals (including the Chief Scout Executive) must dance too.
I would guess that having his position on ones resume opens all kinds of money doors off the books as well as on, jack up his speaking fees, get him larger book bonuses and larger appearance fees for television. Because every similar ‘volunteer’ position is taken for just that reason.

It’s really disheartening to see how the BSA has devolved into a liberal organization that now OKs gays and PC.
