sorry, I do not look to the RC as a standard for anything — I disagree with multiple errors if not outright heresy taught by the Romans. I am a Christian, washed and saved by the Blood of Christ. It is possible to be a Christian outside of Rome - some of us even think it is easier to be a Christian outside of Rome. Apparently many Romans do not think any of us outside Rome are saved - you have a big surprise coming.
It is probably MUCH easier to be a "christian" outside of Rome...you get to make up your own version of what Christianity entails, interpret the Bible to suit your own needs....make Bible passages mean what you want them to mean (never mind that old THIS IS MY BODY stuff, we know He didn't really mean it)...confess your sins (whose sins that you shall forgive, they are forgiven)...who needs that stuff...corporal works of mercy.....nah, praying for the deceased....why?, they are dead Oh well, my rules are SO much easier to follow......golf this Sunday morning anyone...???
