2 Tim, again. Ch 2:15: Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

2 Tim: Warning against Useless Disputes.
14 Remind people of these things and charge them before God* to stop disputing about words. This serves no useful purpose since it harms those who listen.
15 Be eager to present yourself as acceptable to God, a workman who causes no disgrace, imparting the word of truth without deviation.
16 Avoid profane, idle talk, for such people will become more and more godless,

Talking about useless arguments. Humm, something to think about.

Sorry but these scriptures do not prove your case that you are correct and the Catholic church is wrong.

Verse 16 & 17 refer to OT scriptures. What about Timothy's "teachings." Again this does nothing to prove you are correct and the Catholic church is not. If anything it proves there are teachings and ways of life following Christ that were taught not written.

You are wrong.

"the word of truth" refers to all of Scripture in general (John 17:17), and the gospel message in particular (Eph. 1:13; Col. 1:5).

The thought is that the minister of the gospel is to present the truth rightly, not abridging it, not handling it as a charlatan (see on 2 Corinthians 2:17), not making it a matter of wordy strife verse 14), but treating it honestly and fully, in a straightforward manner. Is it your claim that you are ONLY to rightly divide the OT?

For me, I study ALL of the scripture because it is His Word. The Old Testament SCREAMS OUT our need for a Savior... And declares God's plan for mankind. (Even to include salvation by grace - not works - to put a fine point on the matter.)

It says ALL scripture IS inspired...It doesn't say the OT WAS inspired...Obviously you are saying the New Testament is not to be considered scriptures...We know better than that...The New Testament is scripture just as much as the Old Testament is...

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Please prove that what the Catholic Church teaches as "tradition" is exactly what the apostles were teaching that they called tradition. If you cannot we must understand that the Catholic Church teaches "another gospel" and is to be considered accursed.
