"Immersed in nothingness" was exactly how I felt when I was away and seeking. That was a really rotten time in my life-I imagine it wasn't too easy for my parents, either. I came from an Italian family. Ever watch "Everybody Loves Raymond"? "Our parents are
involved!" (And let me tell you, that's an understatement!) That was the one time in my life that they backed off. They didn't treat me any differently, they went to Mass as always. Looking back, that took a lot of self-control on both their parts.
My faith was stronger when I came back, and it was my decision. You are correct, though, I've lapsed in my Scripture the last couple of weeks. I have to keep that in mind: it's usually the first thing I read in the morning, in Salvation's post with the commentary. The last couple of weeks have, well, no excuse- back on track!
Thanks for your concern. And thank you for your time in the Military. 20 years- God bless you!
Ok, be good. 😃🇵🇭
