First of all, God WILL judge people who did not do what they could to protect air, water and soil from harm, in view of the fact they are needed for the well-being of future generations. Care for the Garden was the first mandate given to Man in Genesis; and God did make the world for every generation, not just for ours.

That's an obligation based on a God-given moral principle that cannot be renounced.

Second: any pronouncement that depends on "climate science," geophysical hypotheses, and political policy preferences, however, are outside of the pope's competence and outside of the scope of the Church's Magisterium.

I've got a feeling I'm going to have to repeat this on a regular basis from here on in.

I totally agree. We are to be good stewards of the earth, but not worship it. Global warming fools have been using it to make money. Al Gore is a prime example. Talk about a sin.
