Crosses in every room at Washingon D.C.s Catholic University of America are a human rights violation that prevent Muslim students from praying.
Thats the complaint to the Washington, D.C. Office of Human Rights filed by a professor from rival George Washington University across town.
GWU Law School Professor John Banzhaf takes the Catholic institution to task for acting probably with malice against Muslim students in a 60-page complaint that cites offensive Catholic imagery all over the Catholic school, which he says hinder Muslims from praying.
Baffled Catholic University officials say they have never received a complaint from any of the schools Muslim students.
Banzhaf, who already has a pending lawsuit against the university over ending its policy of allowing mixed-gender dormitories and has a history of filing civil rights suits on such topics as childhood obesity and smoking, filed the complaint alleging that Muslim students are not given their own prayer rooms.
He alleges that the university, does not provide space as other universities do for the many daily prayers Muslim students must make, forcing them instead to find temporarily empty classrooms where they are often surrounded by Catholic symbols which are incongruous to their religion, according to the Tower, Catholic Universitys student newspaper.
The complaint further objects that Muslims must pray at the schools chapels and at the cathedral that looms over the entire campus the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Because they were invited
Agreed. Many states have those laws but I don’t know if DC does.
Yup. If attending a Catholic school is so offensive go somewhere else. Ain’t freedom grand?
Here’s the Muslim way: Catholic schools are so offensive to Muslims in Muslim countries, they burn them down and behead the teachers.
Its no doubt just an out side made up deal the Muslim students probably have nothing to do with it.
They need to find the perpetrators, Muslim or not and have a public hangings, more than one.
Get these skunks out of my country. They don’t belong here. Get them out now before the blood starts to flow, as surely it will if they stay. If they stay, there will be two groups who will pay most dearly for being at fault, Libs and Muslims... Oh, wait a minute... on second thought, let ‘em stay.
But, Moozie institutions only have one book!
There is nothing in that book worth the ink it took to write or the time to read!
How many universities provide rooms for Jewish or Christian prayers, I wonder?
This guy is just an attention seeking a$$hole trying to show the world how clever he is. There are NO Muslims complaining. He’s just an attention whore.
From Wikipedia:
“Banzhaf has been criticized[25] for his recent lawsuit and Human Rights charge against the Catholic University of America. The first was a discrimination lawsuit in response to President John H. Garvey’s decision to implement same sex dorms. More recently, Banzhaf filed a charge with the DC Office of Human Rights in which he claimed that Muslim students were being discriminated against because of lack of adequate prayer space. According to Banzhaf, the charge came as a response to a 2010 article in CUA’s student newspaper about Muslim Students at CUA, in which no complaints were made.”
“Media coverage of Banzhaf’s human rights charge has caused many[who?] to assume that Muslim students were suing the Catholic University, which led to some backlash against Muslims in the media.”

Evidently he is contemplating going after electronic cigarettes too.
Which is stupider:
A Catholic school without crosses in every room, or
A Catholic school without muslim students [who never complained about the crosses in the first place]?
Which choice would mainstream America think is right?
They'd probably say yes to the crosses and the students, and fire all the Banzhaf idiots!
There are some FReepers down thread that insist we Catholics are just like muslims. Somebody should tell these muzzies that, maybe they’ll stop whining.
Only a few more Obame appointees and we’ll see federal courts ruling in favor of this.
All religions are equal.
Just some religions are more equal than others.
Tolerance was and always will be the virtue of believing in nothing.
Didn’t know Banzhaf was still around. This has been his game for decades. And maybe he didn’t notice that those CUA crosses were there long before the first Muslim student applied to, much less attended, CUA. So, too, was the Basilica. The guy’s just nuts, but he’s getting the attention he craves, poor baby.
I can’t remember if he was one of the plaintiffs or a plaintiffs’ lawyer when suit was brought against Georgetown, a nominally RC university, for having crucifixes in its classrooms. (I believe they’re still there)
Can anyone imagine the reaction if Catholics or Jews or Buddhists objected to the minarets and call to prayer at a Muslim university? ha!
Why? To cause trouble.
I am offended that I cannot pray at a Christian church in Mecca, so when will Muslims address my human rights concerns? Why should a private Catholic university kowtow to a minority of Muslim students who claim to be offended? If these Muslim students are so offended let them go to a Muslim university.
Is this news? This same thing was reported about Catholic U. of America a few years ago. It turned out that a lawyer was looking for an excuse to do a lawsuit and that the muslims on campus had no intention of complaining about the crosses.
Why is this in the news again?
I’m sure they do prevent Muslims from praying. Christ defeated Satan.
Yeah, in Moozieland.
There is a database (Facebook/Twitter) loaded with the names of ISIS supporters in the USA.
That means that as soon as the muslim faggot is out of the WH and the DOJ/FBI/DHS are no longer run by the CPUSA, the roundup can begin.
January 20, 2017 is D-Day.
