We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

We pick up the Character Study of Saul right after his egregious disobedience of offering an unauthorized sacrifice, and his attempt to cover it up. He has not really repented of this sin, but rather, was horrified that Samuel caught him in the act and pronounced the end of his reign. Unrepented sin has its consequences, and Saul suffers from anxiety and depression over this, as well as insomnia. The Bible describes this torment as "an evil spirit that the Lord sends to trouble Saul".

Why would God send an "evil spirit"? To somebody struggling with sin, conscience and conviction can indeed SEEM evil, as these things reveal the dark, vicious, roots of depravity and shine a light upon them. Conscience and Conviction will torment the soul until there is a change. The Greeks had a name for this phenomenon as well, and visualized the "Furies" as demonic spirits that chased the sinner, tormenting him with his thoughts.

Although the freshly anointed David is called into service to provide a form of "Music Therapy", the soothing can only go so far. Saul's problem is much to deep to be alleviated by human therapies!
