I don't "bash" Rome...I point out that it is an errant cult. This is a sincere attempt to help RCs see that there is significant difference between the biblical message (the real Word from God) and the doctrinal malaise of religion promulgated by Rome. We are calling those enmeshed in Rome's traditions and idolatries out into the light of Jesus, alone...if He permits them to do so. Unlimited divine determinism is the biblical picture painted.
But could it be argued that the Jesus, born on roman December 25, killed on good Friday and raised easter Sunday is a different ‘Jesus’
Different from A Hebrew Jesus born on a new moon day when the sun clothed the woman and the moon was under her feet.
(That astronomical event fell on September 26 in 2014!
A Hebrew Jesus that laid His life down as the Passover Lamb on Passover.
QRested in the tomb on the Sabbath of unleavened bread and raised on first fruits.
In all this Mary and ‘theological’ doctrine debate, one cant see that there is a different Jesus that Rome believes in?
Focusing on the ‘days’ one worships is exactly why revelation 13 has the unholy alliance breaking and causing others to break thefirst 4 commandments that specific deal with worship.
The first 4 commandments are in there if one looks hard enough
I think Rome deserves to be bashed by the way..
Not the people. The power and principality.
They have peddled a false Christ , a roman version, with a story that only can be told with their pope Gregory calendar.
And it has zero to do with their other doctrines. It has to do with their power to change times and laws and create a roman version for what plainly is the Word made flesh.
And I doubt the billy grahams of the world could conceive of another Jesus ..
Not in word or deed.
A counterfeit bill isn’t going to have misspellings or look like monopoly money.
The best counterfeits can only be tested when holding them up to the light.
On the basics of Rome’s teachings (Christmas, good Friday easter Sunday), they fail that Light test.
One that accepts the premise that Rome has anything to do with the Way, Truth and Life gives Rome too much attention..
They have counterfeited ( as a vessel for Satan) the Way, Truth and Life.
Catholics would certainly disagree with me on that.and I suspect most protestants would too..
And that was my point.
The catholic vs protestant debate may be a futile battle over Rome’s counterfeit when protestants accept that Rome has anything to do with Truth.
Of which if more protestants tested what they did have in common with what the first reformers call ‘antichrist’, they may get the same sinking knee buckling feeling I did..
And an immediate need to repent even though I never was member of a Roman catholic church..
