That doesnt fly in this case. This is not the libraries and pulpits and Sunday schools of SBC churches - its in their retail book stores.
So? That doesn't make them any less responsible for what's sold there.
And btw, SBC is often legalistic and pharisaical.
Again, so what?
Look, you like the legalistic heavy handed approach. You’re not alone. Good for you. I don’t. I think it’s destructive on net.
By the way, as a private business, I fully support their right to run their business and their product line as they see fit. As a citizen, I support my right to comment on it. But yes, there is indeed an entirely different burden of responsibility between the pulpit and a retail store - but I don’t look at it as necessarily a responsible choice to limit the options frankly.
I think, as do many, that such an attitude drives many people away from God, further from God. WWJD? Not be a pharisee. Not be legalistic. You know, the first person given the incredible place in eternity of being the first person to see the Risen Christ was.....wait for it......A PROSTITUTE. Jesus kicked over the tables of who? THE PROFESSIONAL DENOMINATIONAL CLASS.
Just sayin......
