Yes, her body, her earthly home died over 2000 yrs ago but her soul and spirit are still alive.

The body of Mary will be resurrected to a glorious body reunited with her soul and spirit in God’s kingdom and then all those who erred concerning her will know the truth.

I think the issue in this article is not her soul or her body... Christians all agree with what you just said.

The issue in this article is this — is it necessary to ask for Mary’s intercession? If so, how is it more effective than going directly to God in prayer?

That is true of every person ever born, with the exception of Enoch and Elijah. (Do I really need to explain the difference with Jesus being God?) And at the Resurrection, we will all have our bodies. Some will receive their reward, and some will receive their judgment. But none of that provides any support for the idea that Mary is in Heaven interceding for us.
