In Islam, Jesus comes back as a radical Muslim to lead the Muslim armies, to abolish Christianity and to slaughter the Jews. As ironic and as perverted as that may sound, that is exactly what fundamental Muslims throughout the world believe and are awaiting.
Yes; that’s straight out of the Koran rather than having to do with knowledge of the Bible per se. I’ve read the verses where the Muslim figure Isa (Jesus) denies Sonship of God, especially at the Koranic last-day judgment.

There’s more than just waiting...they believe they must “create” chaos for him to come, thus the more violence there is in the ME the closer they think their Madi’s coming is...but not all Muslims believe this. This is the “Mystical” side of Islam....just as the Jewish faith has one as well.
