With all due respect Mrs. Don-o, please consider the following.
2358 seems to be a rule taught by men, Im, that Jesus warned about in Mark 7:7-8. It also doesnt compliment Matthew 18:15-17, 1 Corinthians 5, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 or 1 Corinthians 15:33 imo.
To: Amendment10
Perhaps you could explain more about what you find wrong with #2358.
To summarize, it says:
- The inclination is itself disordered.
- The people coping with this inclination should be treated courteously and respectfully.
- Unjust discrimination should be avoided. (Nothing here prohibits "just" discrimination, e.g. don't hire a known, sexually active, openly gay man as a youth worker.)
- Gays are called to sacrifice in order to fulfill God's will.
- Homosexual persons are called to chastity.
All of that can be abundantly supported by Scripture, can it not? I think I could find supportive verses for each one from the Epistles of Paul.
Or did you have something else in mind?
