We have no need to "join" any constructed "church" or "religion" to profess our love for Jesus Christ or God. He and His Father are enough for us.
I've found gathering with like-minded believers in The Lord Jesus Christ helps everyone involved.
Accountability, group singing, worship music, hearing the Scriptures read aloud, corporate prayer, friends, encouragement, partaking in The Lord's Supper, a means to financially help others in Jesus' Name, (it seems pleasing to The Lord when we gather regularly in His Name)...just a few of the many many reasons I recommend not going it alone.

I've been on the wrong side of this argument so many times.

We do gather in His name.
