Eighty percent of Catholics under the age of fifty no longer believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

Perhaps they should become Lutherans; we still believe in the Real Presence...

(just kidding, though if one were a Catholic and had to choose between people being a Catholic and not believing in the Presence and people being a Lutheran and believing in the Presence, it would not be a easy choice, I think)

We are witnessing the fulfillment of the terrible vision of Leo XIII (of happy memory) which prompted him to require the “Leonine” prayers in order to stave it off; this succeeded for nearly a century.

Paul VI promptly suppressed them and look where we are now after only a generation.

You are quite right this is a day for mourning and penance not celebration.

>Communist Anti-Pope Francis: Jesus’ famous remark, “Do not make My Father’s house a marketplace!”

That’s not what Jesus said. He called it “a den of thieves”. They were gouging the faithful who needed to buy sacrifices.

I don’t see a problem with vernacular, as long as it is theologically sound and well done, which I take it is neither. Not being Catholic I wouldn’t know for sure.

But removing the bit about “the perfidious Jew” has to count for something positive.

And yet today Pope Francis celebrates with great enthusiasm the anniversary of the introduction of Pope Paul VI’s infamous Novus Ordo Missae—a fabrication, a banal on-the-spot product that has driven millions from the bosom of Holy Mother Church and left the rest of us to feast on stones and hunger for bread.

Paul VI: soon to be yet another "saint" of the Vatican II church.
