Regardless, it would be tremendously helpful if at least one of their recent apologist authors could pen a piece that doesn’t integrally require slamming other Christians. They can make their points without having to be gratuitously insulting to those they are trying to convince their beliefs are right.
No, unfortunately they cannot and never will. As long as they assert that “there is no salvation outside the church (as defined by themselves)” they simply must attack, denigrate, and deny the validity of any other view. For them the determining factor is grounded in the dogma that every knee must bow to Peter as the sole authoritative representative of Christ on earth. Without him, the dogma goes, there is essentially no access to Christ.
I agree. It’s a reflection on the character of the authors. Some other Christians go out of their way to insult Catholics, too.
