It’s tough being a Catholic priest. Obviously he was not called to be a priest. It just took him a while to figure that out. The other part about “being saved” is nonsense. When I read that I knew then he never believed to start with.
Devout Catholics do not abandon Christ in the Eucharist. He was never devout. End of story.

I always get a kick out of the "we never studied the Bible in the seminary" line that is ALWAYS included in one of these stories.
