Typical misrepresentation of Catholic teaching, regurgitated for the umpteenth time.

I’m actually getting familiar with the names of these peddlers of anti-Catholic poison and hate.

What a way to make a living: Lying about somebody else’s religion.

The Christian thing to do might be to point out John MacArthur's "lies" rather than hurl baseless accusations against FReepers. Would that be a Christian thing to do?

Aren't you also compensated by the RCC to rebut non-Catholic posters on FR?

Blah blah blah. You and some others use the language of propagandists and astroturfers. It’s easy to spot the techniques used to shut down discussion. No one I know of here is against Catholic people. If we didn’t care for the souls of Catholics we wouldn’t bother telling them the truth. We are, however, strongly opposed to your system of religion because it doesn’t teach a saving gospel. Your church is an apostate body leading men into the pit.

http://sharylattkisson.com/top-10-astroturfers/

“The language of astroturfers and propagandists includes trademark inflammatory terms such as: anti, nutty, quack, crank, pseudo-science, debunking, conspiracy theory, deniers and junk science. Sometimes astroturfers claim to “debunk myths” that aren’t myths at all. They declare debates over that aren’t over. They claim that “everybody agrees” when everyone doesn’t agree. They aim to make you think you’re an outlier when you’re not.”

2010 Since the initiative belongs to God in the order of grace, no one can merit the initial grace of forgiveness and justification, at the beginning of conversion. Moved by the Holy Spirit and by charity, we can then merit for ourselves and for others the graces needed for our sanctification, for the increase of grace and charity, and for the attainment of eternal life. Even temporal goods like health and friendship can be merited in accordance with God's wisdom. These graces and goods are the object of Christian prayer. Prayer attends to the grace we need for meritorious actions.

"we can then merit for ourselves and for others the graces needed for our sanctification... and the attainment of eternal life."

Hmmm. Doesn't seem misrepresented to me.

Oh look...

"2027 No one can merit the initial grace which is at the origin of conversion. Moved by the Holy Spirit, we can merit for ourselves and for others all the graces needed to attain eternal life, as well as necessary temporal goods."

Seems to me the Roman Catholic Church is teaching that we can merit "all the graces needed to attain eternal life...."

We cannot merit grace. We cannot merit ANYTHING. Grace is UNMERITED favor.

Seems like you might do better to actually get familiar with these "peddlers" and start reading for content. Might actually help you out!

I left the Church of Rome at the age of 25, when my eyes were opened to the truth. These aren't lies.

Could you point out THE EXACT lies?? Instead of just slandering the author?
