.
Anyone can call themselves a “minister.”
.
.
You presuppose that God wants to do what you wish him to do.
.
So you don’t want to answer the questions. Got it.
It is you changing the topic. I’ll answer in good time.
So where do you see my point as wrong in Scripture? Failure to provide a Biblical answer will be taken as you feeling to even trying to answer.
No, I’m not changing the subject.
You do realize that the Bible as we know it is a compilation of many different and divergent books written by humans, edited, altered, and sometimes erroneously transcribed, don’t you?
In addition, in the language of Jesus, Aramaic, many words have multiple meanings. Translators (and it’s been translated and then retranslated from the translation numerous times) have to make an editorial decision about which meaning to use — and that choice often seriously affects what the substance is. And we all have our filters.
Thus, “sola scriptura” is an exercise in futility. It’s all designed to support a particular religious interpretation, and then it’s used to buttress that interpretation and prohibit any other interpretation.
That doesn’t work.
Now, then, yes, I do think you’re wrong about what you’re saying, for reasons I have already explained. That particular piece of doctrine (dogma) is simply nonsensical. It doesn’t make sense.
I will ask again. How do you answer the questions I posed above?
Yes. You are.
**It doesnt make sense.**
So I can trust God to preserve His word or your perception that it doesn’t make sense.
I’ll go with the former.
My answer? Yes.
You’re making an assumption when you say you “trust God to preserve His word”. As I noted, it’s been severely altered and filled with errors, as many who have studied the subject for years can show you.
No, you hijacked a thread to try to force a focus on your narrow point, which I have responded to. You are clearly unable to answer my questions.
You are the one who diverted the issue.
Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.
I hijacked a thread I started?
That’s laughable!
You’re the one who diverted it to a narrow focus. I’m not the one who changed the subject.
