Well, in some respects your right in others your probably wrong. The words for die in Hebrew and Greek mean "separation". The words for dead vary from "no life in it" as with the physical body to no life in it referring to the soul. The spirit leaves this body at some point which called death. The spirit does not cease to exist so you are right. It goes somewhere. That was the question I intended. Where do you want to reside forever?
There are basically only two places available. Gehana or in an indescribable paradise. Gehana is described as an unquenchable fire where their is weeping and gnashing of teeth, a place of torment reserved for Satan and all those who rejected Christ.
Those are the only two choices given.
