There are many kinds of grace

Really? Says who, the Mighty Magicsterium? The man wearing the dress with a pointy hat and red shoes?

What does Scripture say? What's the difference between the grace that Paul references in Ephesians 2 vs. Romans 3:22-24 or the grace in 2 Corinthians 12:9?

It's God's grace -- grace that saves us through faith; grace that redeems us. Grace is unmerited favor.

Leave it to the Roman Catholic Cult to try to make up different types of grace to explain away their heretical teachings. Sheesh.

I’m still waiting for some convoluted explanation of where they got that “many kinds of grace” thing.

Well, you pegged it, CB: the response, at best, will be convoluted nonsense; at worst...well, at worst it will be Roman Catholic Cultist drivel.

but, wait -- I repeat myself.

All believers are given grace, the same kind as Mary had.

The word grace used in this passage in Luke is used in one other place in the Bible and that is Ephesians 1 where Paul is us that with this same grace, God has blessed us (believers) in the Beloved. IOW, we all have access to that grace and it has been bestowed on us all.

http://biblehub.com/greek/5487.htm

Luke 1:28 And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!”

Ephesians 1:4-6 In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.

Greek word “grace”

charitoó: to make graceful, endow with grace

Original Word: χαριτόω

Part of Speech: Verb

Transliteration: charitoó

Phonetic Spelling: (khar-ee-to'-o)

Short Definition: I favor, bestow freely on

Definition: I favor, bestow freely on.

HELPS Word-studies

Cognate: 5487 xaritóō (from 5486 /xárisma, "grace," see there) – properly, highly-favored because receptive to God's grace. 5487 (xaritóō) is used twice in the NT (Lk 1:28 and Eph 1:6), both times of God extending Himself to freely bestow grace (favor).

Word Origin: from charis

Definition: to make graceful, endow with grace

NASB Translation: favored (1), freely bestowed (1).

If you look up the word *grace* in the NT, there is only one Greek word that it goes back to and that is 5485 charis.

Here’s a link to the information.

Amen!

I don’t understand how you can gin up multiple forms/definitions of grace unless you’re tying to obfuscate the real meaning of grace.

But, sadly, that’s what the cult of Rome does. Obfuscate.

Paul says it best.

Romans 4:1-25 What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.”

Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”

That's what grace is. Not counting our sins against us. A decision by God to not hold us accountable for what we have done.

Claiming that there's any way to earn or merit it, destroys what grace is.

Grace by its very nature is something no one can apprehend in any way but must be freely given without strings attached for it to be grace.

It’s too bad that the Cult of Rome cannot see grace for what it is — and that is sad, since God’s Word is very plain and easy to understand.

Great post.

Thanks!

It would be amazing if that were grace, but it isn't because if actions are involved, then it ain't grace.
