I think not. I refuse to ‘cut him some slack’ He has every ability to speak clearly.

He causes confusion. He can speak six languages, he has made it to the top of his profession. It is no mistake that he uses the words he uses. If he is unable to speak in a clear manner, if he is unwilling to support Church doctrine strongly, he should consider saying nothing at all. Less trouble would come of it. Less damage to the Church would arise.

I mince no words. I have little love for this Pope. I believe he is a potential disaster in the making. The best thing about him is his advanced age and his poor health.

Perhaps the Holy Spirit will be more attentive at the next conclave.

As a Catholic I agree completely with you. He has done nothing but cause confusion. Think he enjoys the press adulation which makes me think him causing confusion is intentional.
