He has every ability to speak clearly.

How's your Spanish?

No worse than his when he speaks about Catholicism.

It is not a language problem. It is a running of the mouth without thinking problem.

He should simply shut up until he has something constructive, not destructive, to say.

He causes confusion as to what the Catholic faith says. He is more a South American Marxist wrapped up in Liberation Theology and Social Gospel nonsense than a reflective, well spoken Pope.

When he does speak, or make an appointment, it is a disappointment at best. Just check out the new Arch Bishop Cupich of Chicago or almost any of his new Cardinals. Most should have their pictures hanging in the local post office, not sporting red caps at the Vatican.

Do I think this Pope is stupid? No. He is quite intelligent. That makes his clouded speech that much worse. He is too interested in not offending the Secular and looking good to the Godless press. In doing so he is offensive and confusing to those who are practicing the faith and trying to lead a Christian existence.

You don't have to agree with my assessment, but don't deny he has said some mind numbingly stupid and ill advised things. It is difficult enough in this age to defend the Catholic Faith without a glory seeking bloviator as Pope.

St. John Paul the Great spoke Polish as his native tongue, Benedict spoke German as his, yet they never said such stupefyingly dumb things in past three decades as this Pope has said regularly in the past twenty-three months and he speaks a Romance language for Pete's sake.

I wonder if the author is speaking literally or metaphorically about being a kid in school. Kids are brought up with all the rhetoric about population control and starvation, but aren't taught the sanctity of life. Things seem so clear-cut when you're young, and you don't see that they're actually more complex than they seem. It's a painful process, learning that there's so much more to serious issues than we see when we're teens and life in our own little circle is confusing enough, let alone in the bigger picture.

Life is a learning process and sometimes the lessons can be painful. I don't envy kids today. I hope whoever wrote about this, and those who feel the same way find light and truth, especially in realizing the sanctity of human life!
