You continue to try to argue us out of positions that we have held all our lives.
There are people in our church who do not do what they are supposed to do. There are people who have no clue what they are talking about. There are people in our Church who are trying to undermine the Church. The Church is under attack both from within and without. So what?
To be Catholic you take the good with the bad and you don't cut and run if the priest doesn't phrase something properly or doesn't publicly rebuke a politician that is trying to play both sides of the fence.
There is a God you know! HE DOES THE SORTING!
Did I say I care? It would be fair to say that when twisted truths and falsehoods are presented as something they are not I will do as God instructs us to do...oppose them...as they oppose the God that I serve.
Did you ever think that our ‘care’...is to those who read these threads who need to know the truth rather than the mistruths Catholicism presents and teaches... that they might see the truth and not be mislead?
Catholics would do well to consider that it's not about them...it's about the teachings that Catholicism misleads people to and the affects on those who are not well grounded in God's word.
It's apparent many catholics hold to their religion based on “being born into it”...or having been “all their lives”....Did you ever consider that rather than constantly playing the victim God is attempting to get catholics back on ‘His path’ rather than continuing with a religion that robs people of the best He has for them?
Your church is not under attack from anything more than going it's own way rather than how God would have you go. My gosh man, just look at the scandals that have gone on for centuries in the Priesthood alone....and continue to this very day. God exposed your Priesthood fully and still does. This was not a “few” this was nothing less than a child sex ring operating within your church for years...and protected by the hierarchy....
Non-catholics saw this for years, reported it etc....I saw it in my local catholic church and the Priest of that church who did not hide he had a “boy toy”. Even when the church membership was approached about this they simply stuck their heads in the sand once more. By the tie the courts finally got a hold of this creep the young man was completely a basket case.
So how many others were destroyed....how many other secrets and crimes fill the church from your Priests who continue to do crimes that in the outside world would never go without punishment and jail-time.
What’ is truly amazing is you all are well informed of this , and that it continues to be an issue...yet we see children STILL attending your churches knowing this. Are you insane?
It so reminds me of the Islamists who love their teachings and Imams far more than they love or protect their children.
So don't preach to me about who is good or not...as long as the Priesthood continues it will continue to attract men who abuse children and homosexuals who know they have safe haven within it's walls....and the membership is compliant IMO. as long as they continue to send their children before these Priests.
