Going to Confession is like going to Mass used to be for me. I used to go to both because I had to. Now I go because I want to and to experience the grace.

When you walk out of the church after confession there is a definite feeling of having a weight lifted off of your shoulders.

Might be because you shared your sins with another rather than confess them to Jesus himself. ....That happens when we unload to other people as well...how did you tell the difference between the “feeling” one gets of a shared burden and that of forgiveness from Jesus by asking Him directly for forgiveness?
