Even easier, just grab the Bible and read it end-to-end. Some of the confusion is probably being caused by the text being broken up into small, disjointed readings. I can only presume that you are referring to the complete ( Catholic) version of the Bible and not necessarily the Readers Digest condensed and abridged edition provided after the revolution..
