I think It’s obvious how he will die

“Let’s assign a sophomore philosophy student to rebut his arguments and the rest of academia can move on to squashing the bad ideas being championed by morally and intellectually serious people.”

Wow, that’s a great idea.

Had to read one of this guy’s books in college. Went from squishy pro-choice to strongly pro-life. His argument in favor of infanticide made me realize that unborn children had the same right to life as the infants he was willing to kill.

When I listened to the debate between Singer and John Lennox it became obvious Singer is not an honest thinker.

Many years ago (maybe 15) The Chronicle of Higher Education informed it’s readers that Singer was the nations most influential medical ethicist.
That is real power. Most hospitals in this country follow his philosophy on deciding patient treatment.
I would guess he is responsible for the idea that it’s good to starve and dehydrate people to death, that doctors should recommend abortion for downs babies and that treatment should be withheld for the elderly.

Sounds like he is losing arguments even with only himself.

That is a big clue.

Then consider The Bible: Many authors, over much time, and self consistent.

He is also a defender of killing the aged (if they have dementia), newborns (for almost any reason until they are two years old), necrophilia (assuming it’s consensual), and bestiality (also assuming it’s consensual).

treatment should be withheld for the elderly.

If they ever tried to withhold treatment from my mother, I think I would probably do something evil. I couldn't stand by for that. These people frighten me.

And may his death be slow and painful.

I don’t think he’s entitled to credit for having a “dangerous mind.” He’s just recycling old, pagan practices and repackaging them for people whose itchy ears want to hear someone justify them doing what’s convenient.

The itchy ears are the problem. In today’s world, someone is going to tell people to go ahead and do what is convenient. And lacking any moral compass, lots of them will listen as if what he has to say is edgy and profound.

In a different moral climate, Singer would be shunned as the monster he is.

We've gone through it and the sad fact was it was very important to know who to trust. In my in laws case, most older direct offspring were for following doctors recommendation. We found our allies in the adult grandchildren taking a position polar opposite of their parents. Those kids were raised in liberal homes and liberal schools. Anyway I was surprised by it.

End of the story was that treatment was successful and he lived a couple more good years.

Colleges generally exist to keep unemployable anti American idiotic scoundrels employed. A graduate of Gender Studies can only be employed teaching gender studies to the next generation of idiots taking gender studies courses. Ward Churchill, Noam Chomsky, George Layoff would all be holding cardboard signs on street corners WITHOUT the taxpayer paying their salaries.

As the proud Father of an Eagle Scout. A young adult who is now an assistant store manager of a major retail chain at the age of 22, in line for a store of his own in 8 months or so. A young man who in his teens, saved a child from serious injury or permanent disability.

My son is one of those that Singer proposes should be killed at birth. He has mild hemophilia.

France should reopen Devil's Island, and Peter Singer should be the first resident sent to it.
