Another one from 30-40 years ago.
I invite you to take a good look at the reformation.com link above. It lists details on over 830 protestant church leaders (last updated in 2003) in the same boat.
That’s just one reference, and there are many others out there.
And no, I am not defending what happened in my church by saying others do it too. More like inviting others to look in their own backyard before throwing rocks at my house.
Now, in the spirit of reasoned discussion, I will ask if you have gone beyond the initial outrage at the abuses by the priests and the cover-ups by the leadership (which is well deserved, and certainly expressed by the Catholic laity), and investigated how the church has worked to reform itself?
Have you looked into the child protection standards and requirements that are now in place?
Are you aware that in order to have any contact with kids in my parish (coaching, field trip chaperon, room parent, scout leader, etc), that I had to undergo a comprehensive background check and training program? And that part of that involves training on identifying danger signs of predators, including clerics?
I invite you to point out any other religious organization that has done as much (although belatedly) to protect and prevent recurrences.
Please do some research and due diligence. Unless you’d rather just throw grenades.
I don’t think you are reading my posts or why I originally posted, if you are, you keep ignoring it.
There is only one church denomination’s leadership that is famous for homosexuality.
Did they check to see if you are a homo??? 'Normal' altar boys are recruited into queerdom by queer priests...Many of those altar boys grow up to be priests...
It would be interesting to know how many of the homo priests were molested by older males while they were young...

Evidently that’s not working well.
