You are Petros and upon this petra I will build my church.
He did not say. talking to Peter, “Upon YOU will I build my church”.
Nor did He say, talking to the other disciples, “Upon HIM will I build my church”.
Additionally, when James and John were arguing about who would be the greatest of them all, there would have been the PERFECT opportunity for Jesus to say, *Too bad, guys. Peter’s got the job*, and yet He didn’t.
Not one word from Jesus to the other disciples to that effect.
WOW, talk about reading between the lines and making up hypothetical possibilities...that kind of did it all...
