Jesus calls us to love everyone. If He wishes us to love our enemies, why would He not wish us to love His mother? Is she not included?

I think that applies to those who are here in earth. The chance to love Mary was available to the people who lived/walked with her. Do you "love" other people from antiquity?

Catholics are not sola Scriptura. I appreciate concern for my soul. There are posts here that do not reflect that concern. Courtesy is appreciated. Prayer is appreciated.

I've noticed catholics do not rely on the Bible as the ultimate source of authority and therein lies the problem. Relying upon the ECFs and man-made concepts is where beliefs get off course. This applies to any group of believers.

The tone is not intended to be harsh so I apologize if it comes across that way. The tone is a reflection of my concern for teaching contrary to the Word.

We hold our Faith as dearly as anyone else. Correction in context is one thing. Insults to an entire faith are another. Our enemy is the devil, not one another. Our belief in Jesus remains our common ground. May He give us peace!

You are correct...Satan is the enemy. What concerns me is that he has a lot of believers deceived into believing something that sounds nice and "Christian" but is not regarding Mary.

Catholic apologists have even admitted the immaculate conception cannot be supported from Scripture nor should the ECFs be relied upon. Yet catholics still cling to this. Why? Feelings? The pope said so?

We need to search the Word and compare it to what man says. If they agree, the teaching is sound...if not man's teaching is wrong and is to be discarded.

We've looked at the Morning Prayer to Mary. No one would substitute another "god" in that prayer and claim to be following Christ. Yet, if we put Mary's name in there it's somehow ok.

That's what is confusing to Christians.

Thank you for your kind and courteous reply! I'm composing a response, it's just taking me awhile: in the meantime, I just wanted to let you know I read your post and appreciated the Christian attitude with which you expressed yourself!

God bless you!
