“METMOM! EVERYBODY! You gotta come see what vlad has said now!”
Well, how intellectually honest is it for any Protestant to claim I believe in sola fide when I’ve denounced it for the heresy it is literally thousands of times here at FR? How intellectually honest is it for any Protestant to claim I believe in sola fide when I have already rejected it in just the last handful of posts?
“You’re stubborn?”
Nope. I’m stubborn, but whenever someone gets something right I agree with him. If it’s true, it’s true. It’s just that simple. You just don’t seem get much of anything right from what I can see. Maybe you should try harder?
“vlad, you addressed this reply post to the wrong FReeper.”
Nope. I addressed it to exactly the FReeper I intended.
“You and I have not been discussing this issue; you and someone else have.”
And?
“I just thought what you said was humorous and wanted to share with others.”
R-I-G-H-T.
“Perhaps you meant to say “...from what I am willing to see”?”
Nope. I said what I meant and I meant what I said. You’re proving the original comment now.
“There you go again... Intimating I’m lying.”
Take it anyway you like.
“Bad habit you’ve developed, vlad.”
No, actually not.
“Really might want to examine this particular (5th grade? 6th grade) ploy. Or not. (Yes you do?)”
Nope. Not. But you might want to look at what you’re posting and in response to a “(5th grade? 6th grade) ploy”. Kettle, pot, beam, splinter, whatever your choice is.
Ossibly?
speaking of diversity, OUR favorite reference book points to 41,000 or so protestant denominations....now THAT is diversity
“You want to tie me to a beam, stick a wooden splinter through my heart, put a pot on my head and boil me in a kettle?”
Nope. I’d rather you just start getting something right. Sadly, that looks unlikely.
“Doesn’t seem you wish me very well, RCC adherent. (Yes you do?)”
I wish you well, but you keep rejecting the truth and posting error so what I wish for you probably won’t come true.
terycarl, there you go being rational and all! :)
Are you Orthodox or Catholic?
If you are Catholic, you can not make definitions by your own admission.
That 16th century statement is false.
Protestantism started about 1,000 years ago when the Orthodox decided to follow Scripture and not acquiesce to Catholicism and their "created" popeatry.
They refused to kowtow to the Catholic's pope and so Catholicism PROTESTED against their decision and so Catholics are the FIRST Protestants.
Then a few hundred years later a Catholic started a movement to move closer to Christianity, Holy Scripture and Jesus and thus was started what today is called Protestantism.
And eventually Catholicism accepted the Orthodox as part of their popedom, and now call them Catholics.
It was a financial decision on the part of the Catholic mucky mucks.
Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.
Heh nice. Finally!
