I believe that Jesus had something to say about that: Luke 9:26 Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

Perhaps Joshua was informed of the laws of relativity. Per relativity, it is equally true to say the sun and stars move around the Earth, as it is to say that the earth revolves and creates the apparent motion.

“...the word Generations in Hebrew is time periods or stages.”

No, that is not even one of the possible meanings of the word.

“I think the Bible tells us that God rested on the seventh day...”

Yes, the Bible says that.

“...and it was only after that that he made Adam from the dirt.”

No, the Bible doesn’t say that.

“If we say we are to take the word of God literally shouldn’t we take that into consideration?”

Nobody takes the word of God absolutely literally, not even fundamentalists, but that is besides the point, since you are already reading things into Genesis that are not written (such as your assumption that Genesis 2 is a chronological continuation of the narrative in Genesis 1).

“Bullcrap! That was NOT end of creation, because we are created in God’s image and we never stop creating as long as we exist...”

We’re not talking about humans creating, we are talking about the six days of creation in which God created the heavens and earth, and all the occupants thereof. He accomplished it all in six days, and then He rested.

“God did not quit creating with the sixth day, that is NOT in the Bible.”

There was no “8th day of creation” for God to finish up a few things that he forgot to take care of. If you want to posit one, go ahead and quote the Scripture that mentions such an 8th day. While you’re at it, you can try to explain why God rested when He hadn’t finished what He set out to accomplish. Was He just tuckered out?

While you’re looking for those verses, you can chew on these:

“10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” Exo. 20:10-11

No one actually knows what the literal meaning would be that is why there is so much contention about it.

So what they do is arrange it in a way that makes sense to them, but may not make any sense to some one else.

You and I do the same thing, truth is that no one knows.

"Yes it is."

Then you shouldn't have a problem citing a source to back that claim, right?

I already cited a source to back my contrary claim in post #233.

Did Adam and Eve Really Exist?

well; there was a Man who DID (does) exist that evidently thought so:

Jesus replied. “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” (Mk 10:6-9)

“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” (Mt 19:4-6)

If some people REALLY believe in ‘evolutuion’, as they claim, then why are they also upset about birth ‘defects’?

The incestuous relationship between Lot and his daughters occurred more than 400 years before Noah was given the law, including the laws forbidding incest and polygamy. The only real sin that took place was that Lot failed to provide the opportunity for his daughters to marry.

Well; then... perhaps you can tell us how many UNCLEAN animals Moses placed on the ark?

Mormonism is just freemasonry dressed up as “Christian.”

They have no answers that don’t revolve around secret meetings in a basement.

Staunch Christian resistance to cosmological theories has been greatly exaggerated in modern times.

Science has given us the Big Bang; the Bible gave us, "Let there be light"

Science gave the universe all the inorganic material there is.

Magic evidently gave us the ORGANIC material that LIFE needed to be created from.

Most people don`t believe they came from monkeys, they just believe most others did.

I am a legitimate Catholic theologian, and I am also rational.

And you believe that Mary is in Heaven right now; helping Jesus out.
