Link to the (ongoing) "Kinut haShluchim" Conference of the Emissaries, the rabbis of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement throughout the US (all stated but SD!) and abroad.

These rabbis (their wives meet in a few months at their own conference) meet yearly, taking a break from their life-long missions, coming together for inspiration and training in Jewish Torah-true outreach. Contrary to popular belief, they are not supported financially from headquarters (darn I wish we had a stash of Jew-gold!) rather marry in they early 20s, leave on their mission, and will come home to Israel when they're finished-- when Moshiach comes. They raise their own funds, often home-school their own children far from any Jewish day-school, high-school, or seminary. They are living testaments of faith in G-d.
