Isn't it interesting how many non-Catholics here seem to HANG on EVERY word the Pope says?
Why would they?
What is he to them?
Why would they care?
You'd think that they would TOTALLY ignore him and whatever he says because his words are not germane to them in any way, shape or form. Or, they SHOULDN'T be.
Methinks they protest TOO much.

Another type of infallible teaching is the bishops all over the world in unison with and ratified by the pope, teach a truth of faith or morals only. One example is teaching from Ecumenical Councils. Any one Pope may be nuts, stupid, ignorant, evil etc. but the Holy Spirit will protect the Church from error one way or the other. Look at the history of the Church all you skeptics.
