Try and find a former Catholic theologian that finally said he had been wrong his whole life so he decided to become a baptist, pentacostal, presbyterian, lutheran, whatever.

You went from any Catholic to theologian. That's fine. Ask yourself this question. Why do Catholic theologians need to leave the Catholic church? The majority of modern Catholic theology is of the liberal JEDP brand; teaches evolution is compatible with the Christian faith and Bible (so says the Pope too); teaches the OT is allegory and not historically accurate. Such a theologian would find it difficult in most Protestant or Evangelical churches. Let's not mention the Jesuit liberation theology taught in universities exposing young minds glorifying Marxist governments. Not to mention the Blasphemy allowed on Catholic campuses allowing guest speakers to expand horizons lecturing that Jesus and his disciples were gay and Mary Magdalene was really the top disciple.

So it's easy being a Catholic theologian. You can believe anything.
