Can. 1184 §1 Church funeral rites are to be denied to the following, unless they gave some signs of repentance before death:
1° notorious apostates, heretics and schismatics;
2° those who for anti-christian motives chose that their bodies be cremated;
3° other manifest sinners to whom a Church funeral could not be granted without public scandal to the faithful.
And, from USCCB guidelines for Catholics in Political Life:
"The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions."
Well look at that -- O'Malley and a die-hard pro-abort.
O'Malley also made a big public show of passing communion through the slats of the US-Mexican border fence (after first searching out a location that even has a fence) -- An act of sacrilege -- "Indeed deliberate and notable irreverence towards the Holy Eucharist is reputed the worst of all sacrileges."
